Conclusion

Now you should be an expert on genes and chromosomes, and how we discovered the structure of DNA.

You will now need to use this information to help you write a diary extract by one of the scientists describing his or her work.

Some things to consider in your diary extract are

  • What are genes and chromosomes?

  • What is the job of DNA and what is DNA like?

  • How does DNA control the characteristics we get from our parents?

  • The work that your scientist did personally to support the discovery.

  • The work of the other three scientists.

  • Evaluate the relevant contribution of each scientist involved in the discovery of the structure of DNA.
