Conclusion

You now know how scientists and engineers are trying to improve human performance using artificial exoskeletons. You also know how the bones, joints and muscles of the human body all work together to allow movement.

You must write an introduction to a manual for a human exoskeleton, The MegaStrength Suit, that explains the benefits of the exoskeleton. The introduction should also describe the main features of the human skeleton, and how muscles work to allow movement.

Some things to consider in your introduction are:

  • How many different jobs does the skeleton do?
  • What are joints like?
  • How do muscles work together in pairs to allow movement?
  • How can we measure the strength of a muscle?
  • What limits human performance?
  • How does an exoskeleton work, and what are its uses?
