The Megastrength Suit

Introduction

Your task is to write the introduction to the instruction manual for a human exoskeleton, The MegaStrength Suit. When worn by a person with physical disabilities, the suit will allow him or her to walk again. A version of the suit is sold to the military to enhance the performance of soldiers on the battlefield. It makes them stronger and faster. In your introduction you must also explain what a human being’s skeleton and muscles are like, and how they work. You should detail what scientists currently believe puts a limit on human performance.

Process

This WebQuest guides you through an exploration of the human skeleton – its parts and functions. You will then find out about muscles and how they work in pairs. Finally, you’ll have a brief look at how engineers are trying to produce exoskeletons to enhance human performance.

When you've completed your WebQuest research, your teacher will ask you to write an introduction to a manual for a human exoskeleton, The MegaStrength Suit. You will include a summary of how the human skeleton and muscles work.
