Conclusion

You should now know all about elements and how they are arranged on the periodic table. You’ll also know a lot about the scientist who did so much to help create the modern periodic table, Dmitri Mendeleev.

Your task is to use all of your knowledge to produce a guide to the periodic table.

Some things to include in your guide are:

  • A labelled diagram of an atom.
  • What an element is.
  • Where metals and non-metals are located on the periodic table and what are their general properties.
  • Where groups and periods are found on a periodic table.
  • A summary of the life and work of Dimitri Mendeleev.
